Taste the Spirit of the Caribbean!
Taste The Experience.
Our Award winning Rude Bwoy Spirits brand is the brainchild of Jamaican husband and wife team Leonard Gonsalves (businessman) and Dawn Gonsalves (artist).
With an already successful design and printing business servicing the nightclub and the music industry in Florida, they saw a need for a liquor company that was dedicated to authentically representing our lively Caribbean community and lifestyle. They created a liquor brand using west Indian sugar cane as the base for their spirits (including their sugar cane vodka) to maintain the historical ties to ancient rum manufacturing in the Caribbean. After tweaking recipes for a couple of years the company launched in 2013 and with every competition entered have won awards, the highest being platinum for the coconut rum at the Global Spirits Awards, Las Vegas 2021 (Awarded in 2022).
The name “Rude Bwoy” is slang from 50s Jamaican street culture surrounding the ska and reggae movement that essentially meant “street-wise rebel/gangster”, Used as a greeting, a description, or a curse it reflects the strong pride we feel in our culture and we encourage you to discover RUDE BWOY – THE SPIRIT OF THE CARIBBEAN!

TASTE THE SPIRIT OF THE CARIBBEAN!
How is Rude Bwoy Rum made?
Rude Bwoy Rum starts with high quality cane sugar sourced from the caribbean. It’s made from the thick, dark and sweet syrup that is left over after the three stage sugarcane refining process, resulting in molasses containing less sugar, but holding the sugarcane sweetness and concentrated flavours from naturally occurring vitamins and minerals. We are proud to use ingredients affiliated with the Caribbean in producing our premium sugar cane-based spirits, which are hand-crafted and bottled in small batches to ensure an authentic Rude Bwoy experience.
What to Mix with Rum?
Pineapple juice is by far one of the most popular mixers for rum, and we can see why. It’s fruity, refreshing, and makes you want to sit on the beach for hours sipping under the sun. A Couple Cooks says these two ingredients are simply meant to be, with flavors that just fit well together naturally. The end result is sweet, tropical, and goes down incredibly easily — don’t say we didn’t warn you.
